I am going to leave them on the scape as long as possible and them plant them as stated. This will be the first time I've done this. Will mark the spot and look forward to a successful 'offspring'.The Zhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16482902092634556830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2690637486415508827.post-33551230012729860942014-10-27T03:11:26.446-07:002014-10-27T03:11:26.446-07:00Thank you....Thank you....Piush Agarwalnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2690637486415508827.post-9387859761100378382012-09-12T08:44:55.536-07:002012-09-12T08:44:55.536-07:00Thanks. If you live in an area with cold winters, ...Thanks. If you live in an area with cold winters, it's okay to sow the seeds in fall without putting them in the refrigerator; they'll receive all the cold saturation they need. All viable seeds should germinate and grow into small plants in the first year. It will take a couple years after that before they're big enough to produce flowers -- that's why it often takes three years from seed to flower.GardenerScotthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01489924261765056667noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2690637486415508827.post-68674251051637143722012-09-11T20:32:07.601-07:002012-09-11T20:32:07.601-07:00GREAT ARTICLE, THANK-YOU!! I'll be doing more Daylily dividing soon and will take a closer look to see if I get any and then consider an article to show how to root and plant them. Thanks for the idea.GardenerScotthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01489924261765056667noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2690637486415508827.post-76016013367781130882012-08-15T18:02:03.857-07:002012-08-15T18:02:03.857-07:00Scott, This is a really good article on daylily pr...Scott, This is a really good article on daylily propagation, more thorough than the one written in a quite pricey daylily book I bought last year, and the whole article is considerably better than most internet blog sites. Just wish you had more info on propagation from proliferations, as one DL I have has been forming them, two on one scape, & it looks like one on another. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge & experience!
